Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Kooky children's boutique in Lincoln Park has finally moved out of its space on Armitage at Dayton after 2 years. Red Mango will be opening this summer. The last day of business for the store was last week when they ended their 40% off sale.

The shop still has a 5,000 square foot location on the 3rd floor of The Shops at North Bridge where they previously opened a pop-up shop in the then vacant Kenneth Cole space, where Burberry has their temporary location now. This location sells the exact same spring and summer clothing for kids 0-8 featuring brands like Troizenfant (France), Kanz (Germany), Mayoral (Spain) and local brands like La Minatura (from project runway winner), Little Traveler, Nano and Tea Collection. Toward the end of the year, the shop plans to launch an e-commerce site which will eventually be the sole Kooky other than the pop-up shops Kooky is known for.
