Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
It’s the height of summer, and after this weekend we know that maintaining a beach body can be a little daunting and time consuming to maintain. From eating healthier to staying motivated to work out in a time crunch – the newest startup to come out of 811 W Evergreen, KLUTCHclub is providing new solutions.
KLUTCHclub is a new monthly gift box subscription service, like Get Fresh and Birchbox that sends a curated and “themed” box directly to you. This box however is full of holistic health, fitness and wellness products including foodstuffs rather than solely beauty. From online fitness classes and all-natural energy bars to holistic weight-loss teas and organic fish oil, you’ll learn about new, niche brands and products that suit your lifestyle, and get access to exclusive deals and offers from companies that share your values (like Equinox and thinkThin).
The best part is that each box is full of more than 50 of products, but only costs around $18. Founder and U of C Alum, Julie Bashkin, has wrangled products for July’s box that include must-haves from Mighty Tea, Truvia, Zoye Soybean Oil, Mineral Hygienics makeup and Nia fitness. Each month the theme changes so look forward to August’s theme, “Health on the Go”, and September’s which will most likely be our favorite, “Spa”.
