The Most Flaming Outfits for Your Opening Ceremony Par-tay

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We're excited to wear shorter, tighter, sexier sportswear for the next few weeks or so while we live out our locker room fantasies, watching the London 2012 games. With all this sweat and muscle comes partytime-- and what would you wear? We've done a little "leg work" for you and picked out the rad, white hot and cool blue staples to carry you from the flaming opening ceremony on through the "pole vaulting" contest.

We chose a short black leather short from Haute Hippie available on Haute Hippie's site for $395; Stella McCartney for Adidas red ballerina flats for $100; a striped Y-3 tank marked down from $120 to $60.

Keepin' it in the hood, we've got a Team USA practice jersey from Champion in 2XL that we found at Rad Vintage on Berwyn; a blue jersey from J. Crew; and a leg chain thigh embellishment from LitterSF which can be found at Sofia Bananabeat in Malibu.

For sunwear we've chosen Oliver Peoples' Farrell 64 sunglasses in silver with chrome sapphire photochromic glass; and the Grey Ant red Status sunglass at $221 that scream Buddy Holly x Jackie Joyner Kersee; and Grey Ant's blue Kennedy style for $260, which can be found at Oak.

Granted, anything you'll wear to a sportswear-themed party will be great but if you shop these hawt suggestions here, we know you'll be getting the gold all night long and when you leave they'll remember that you "really stuck that dismount".
