New, 8 comments

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Welcome to Racked Chicago's search for Chicago's hottest trainer. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile sixteen smoking candidates who work at local gyms and studios. (Not only do they look hot in spandex, but if you take their classes, you might someday look nearly as good.) Then, once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which you get to vote for your favorite. Let the games begin!

Not only is Saran Dumore a beautiful woman and fitness trainer, but she is one of the most positive and passionate individuals many of her clients know. She's a Personal Trainer on MTV’s hit show I Used To Be Fat and a fitness contributor on NBC5. She is also an ex-LFL (Lingerie Football League) player and 2010 Offensive Player of the Year. She's produced 2 fitness videos, the most recent, “JUBA STEP” which was featured in Ebony magazine. In addition to having hosted her own TV show, along with pageants and step shows, and the Reggae International Music Show, she's even hosts a radio show giving fitness advice to over 6 million people weekday mornings on WMAQ since 2006. You think that's impressive? Ask Saran about her most recent interview with Ludacris for The Regal Theater.

At at the early age of 4, Saran's dad designed a fitness routine for her two sisters and herself.  He designed workouts simply because his daughters told him that his routine looked like fun.  And now more than 30 years later, she's still exercising and having fun. Saran has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2002 and has persistently trains professional athletes, CEO’s, weekend warriors, teenagers, baby boomers, and stay-at-home moms out of Phenomenal Fitness in the South Loop. .
