This year, Lollapalooza is launching a new pop-up shop concept July 27 through August 6 for the first time ever LollaShop. This temporary shop is the very first time ticket and non-ticket holders will have the opportunity to get the party started early and buy official goods before the gates open on August 3.
The LollaShop will be open to the public and will serve as a unique extension of the popular festival and will include T-shirts and branded items offered in the festival grounds including the official Lollapalooza T-shirt by Gap. Brands coming in who will provide retail experiences include Sony, Baggu, and Threadless. If that weren't the best that Lolla could pull, they've also got the stylish hats of Goorin Bros., apparel by Rad + Refined and the musical fanny packs of JammyPack.
Signings with festival performers such as Yuna and JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound will take place up to three times daily from August 3 – 5. There will be VIP events including listening parties and performances at the LollaShop which will take place in the adjoining Thompson Hotel Lounge, a lounge and performance space designed to resemble a modern rock lounge. The lounge will offer a sneak peek into the highly anticipated Thompson – Chicago Hotel, opening in 2013.
Wait a minute! You need to detox and loosen up? Need not fret, yoga Instructor Margo Kellison will lead morning classes in The Thompson Hotel Lounge each day during the fest at 9AM. Though the classes are free and open to the public, space is limited and guests should RSVP.
