The night before the opening of the nation's first CityTarget, we trod down to the Loop in high anticipation of the fanfare Target is known for when one of their notable spectacles bursts onto the retail scene. Here, inside the store less than 12 hours before its opening we witnessed a Redmoon performance of a woman riding a giant red bicycle, Michigan Avenue's famed bucket drummer boys, DJ Megan Taylor, a muralist Rahmaan Statik, and Bullseye the bull nose terrier. Guests nibbled on cheesecake pops from Eli's, pizza from Giordano's, and guac from Fronterra. Around the store there were bars serving Goose Island that were themed like the rail lines of the CTA.
