Eskandar Bringing the Party to Walton

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

London-based fashion retailer, Eskandar which operates shops in London, Milan, Paris, NY and LA is opening a Chicago Flagship in August or September. The store is set to open at 70 E Walton which is currently being built out. Michigan Avenue's Neiman Marcus is the largest door for Eskandar in the city and has built a following for the brand. This following (we feel) represents "the ladies who lunch" very accurately, spelling out immediate success.

The Eskandar Flagship occupies the space next to where Pene Caldo once was. The Loopnet listing states that the retail has been fully leased-- which leads us to wonder if the Pene Caldo space will soon be retail.
