Yesterday, like in many recent days, River North office folk were treated to commotion in the streets and hunky firefighting actors of Chicago Fire, a TV show currently filming here. One of our intrepid photogs caught Mister Taylor Kinney makin' that bacon while his glitzy girlfriend, Lady Gaga was seen shopping at Louis Vuitton, spending the aforementioned bacon.
So we're all familiar with where to buy our LV Speedys and Yayoi Kusama frocks (the store just got a replenishment) like Gaga, but where do you buy sexy firefighter gear in the city? Like us, maybe this is a question for you just begging to be answered right now.

The store where the film crew and the prop crew has bought many of the costumes and gear is actually the the official store for the City of Chicago firefighters to buy their gear. The Chicago Fire Commissary on a lonely stretch of 23rd at Halsted sells all the helmets, lights, utility belts, pants, boots a firefighter or one with a firefighter fetish could ever want. The only thing they can't sell to the public are Axes and clothing with patches.
According to Sandy at The Commissary, the most popular item bought at the shop is the heavy duty work sweatshirts. They're a dark grey, embroidered with a small logo and cost $50.
