In less than two weeks, three Chicago-based powerhouses will headline a street runway show called Fashion in the Street in the West Loop. Local fashion designers and boutiques are setting up the guerilla-type street fair where everyone is invited one block west of Halsted at the Washington & Green St.. It happens with cabanas in the street, food trucks, five local bands and DJs and several bars next weekend from Noon-10PM each day.
The runway shows will be held at 2 and 7:30, and 9PM while showcasing new pieces by local designers on a 100 foot runway jutting out of the Main Stage. Stop and check out Trillium and Stix & Roses, Calvin Tran, Langford Market, Caroline Borucki, Kelly Brinn, Rosina Mae and a few more.
