Welcome to Racked Chicago's search for Chicago's hottest trainer. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile sixteen smoking candidates who work at local gyms and studios. (Not only do they look hot in spandex, but if you take their classes, you might someday look nearly as good.) Then, once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which you get to vote for your favorite. Let the games begin!

Phil McDaniels, C.E.O and founder of Perfect Fit, Inc. is a universal fitness expert who specializes in all areas of fitness, personal health and nutrition. With twelve years of experience, Phil has had the opportunity to provide fitness training to, and benefit, a diverse clientele ranging from inner-city students, to families, professionals and celebrities. Phil has provided fitness training for institutions and organizations such as the City Colleges of Chicago, Chicago Public Schools, the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago; for celebrity LaToya London and for members of the Broadway Musical, The Color Purple.

In addition to personal training, he has also developed fitness programs-both short and long term-customized to meet the specific needs of those he serves.
As an educator, Phil’s theory is to challenge the mind, body and spirit. In an effort to address the many factors associated with today’s youth, he also provides education-combining life skills with fitness-targeting areas of anger management, substance abuse and conflict resolution.

Phil leads a group of some of Chicago’s finest trainers that share the same vision and drive as the Perfect Fit organization. The Perfect Fit Fitness Center is located the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. And if that weren't good enough, he's ACE, ISSA, and NESTA certified.
