Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
We were the first to storecast that DEKA, a sportswear boutique from Atlanta was opening up on Michigan Ave. This past week the shop has opened to minimal fanfare. Though the boutique sells designer labels like Y-3 and Adidas by Stella McCartney and Splits 59 we feel like it will be a stretch (albeit worthwhile if it's a success) to get Chicago women out of their Lululemon and Athleta.
