EVERYWHERE—A slew of new restaurants are on track to open this fall and Eater has a report on the 24 most anticipated new spots headed your way, including Curtis Duffy's Grace, Alpana Singh's Boarding House, Gene Kato's Sumi Robata Bar and Stephanie Izard's Little Goat. Lots of great stuff coming.

WEST LOOP—Following last week's shocking news that Koren Grieveson had split from avec after 10 years as its chef, the restaurant announced it had named Erling Wu-Bower as the new chef de cuisine, bringing him over from the Publican.

ANDERSONVILLE—In a somewhat (but not really) surprising move, Premise abruptly announced it had shuttered this week and that the owners of the LM restaurants would take it over to open Brasserie 54 by LM.

FRONT & CENTER—All this week, Eater has been running a series called Front & Center, that gives props to people's favorite front of house staff at bars and restaurants, including folks from Alinea, Sepia, Telegraph, Balena and more.
