It seems as though the monthly subscription service is spiraling out of control. From Glossybox to Klutchclub, they all seemed to have launched at the same time, promising to offer to sample the best products from every possible industry on a monthly (and cheap) basis. Enter NatureBox, the newest kid on the subscription block, to help you make healthier choices with your snacking. The brainchild of a formerly obese entrepreneur, he learned the value of healthy eating and lost 70 pounds by changing his habits. He then thought that the subscription model would be a great way to get others to change their habits too. "At NatureBox, we're using our subscription box to encourage consumers to discover new snack foods they might never have tried. Once they find items they love through us, we want to enable consumers to buy more of those individual items in a more traditional e-commerce model," says Gautam Gupta of NatureBox.
Each box of Naturebox features 4-6 full-sized products of healthy snacks, such as granola, healthy and organic trail and chex mixes, pistachios, etc. The snacks in the boxes have no trans fats, no artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors, and no high fructose corn syrup. Additionally, all of the products are nutritionist-approved. We're feeling healthier already just by reading this. And there's an added bonus to Naturebox besides the health factor. For every box sent, Naturebox donates a meal to a hungry child in America. Gotta love that TOMS model applied to health food.
NatureBox, just like other subscription boxes, is a nominal cost to you at only $19.95 per month. And unlike some of the other boxes, the products are FULL-SIZED, not just samples. Don't you think it's time to get a little healthier? We do. And to not have to scour Whole Foods for hours on end by ourselves is something we're truly looking forward to; we're all about having someone else do the picking and choosing for us. Are you going to sign up? Tell us which boxes you've signed up for, or which you'd like to see come to the market. We'd love to hear from you!
