When fashion and philanthropy join forces, it always brings tears to our eyes. We especially love when fashion benefits women, children or families who are marginalized or in need, so this event really makes us well up with joy. Evanston store Ten Thousand Villages will partner with Bunyaad, a fair trade rug company, for a special fair trade Oriental rug sale event happening Sept. 12-16. Over 300 hand-knotted rugs from artisan families in Pakistan who are paid a living wage, will be featured. [Racked Inbox]
