It's that time again. Time to Rent the Runway, borrow your friend's dress or blow your budget on a drop dead ridic gown for Joffrey Ballet's annual fashion event, Couture & Cocktails. The society set and philanthropic do-gooders will descend upon McGrath Acura on the near north side in droves, decked out in their finest trunk show finds, to fete the Joffrey. Couture & Cocktails is also seen as the official kickoff to Joffrey's season.
Co-chaired by Kristina McGrath of McGrath Imports and Sonya Jackson, this year's event will feature Pamella Roland's designs in collaboration with Neiman Marcus. There will be a live and silent auction featuring some swank items from
Luxury Garage Sale, heavy apps, Skinnygirl cocktails, and a type of "food truck social" from 9-midnight. Also at 9, a dance party will ensue. What better way to say, "to hell with all the day's primping and pampering??" than sweating off your Giorgio Armani mascara and expensive blowout at a phenomenally hip dance party! But all this fashion and fun comes at a price--ticket prices range from $150-1500, but that doesn't stop the 600 ardent supporters who patronize the event. So, we ask you, where will you be on September 28? We hope that you'll be at Couture & Cocktails with bells on...and Manolos...Email for tickets.
