HYDE PARK—The team behind Michelin-starred Longman & Eagle, including chef Jared Wentworth, made a lot of South Siders happy this week by announcing they'll open the Promontory, a restaurant, bar and music venue, on 53rd Street.
RIVER NORTH—After offering up French fare, elevated diner grub and amazing doughnuts, Brendan Sodikoff revealed plans to open Kotsu Ramen, a 20-seat lounge below Gilt Bar, this January.
STREETERVILLE—Saigon Sisters, the popular elevated Vietnamese street food spot, will open a third restaurant, this time at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
EVANSTON—Rick Bayless continues expanding his restaurant empire with the addition of a Frontera Fresco, opening this fall inside the Norris Center at Northwestern University, marking Bayless' foray into collegiate life.
