Emporio Armani on Oak Street Opens October 5

Last week in New York, the Armani family of stores opened the latest and greatest Emporio Armani. Atop the gaggles of fancy socialites and celebs (Anna Dello Russo, Ryan Lochte, Carine Roitfeld, Paris Hilton, Ricky Martin) there were music acts for the end of time. This is an experience a few notches down from a Burberry World Live experience, but still impressive acoustically, is called Emporio Armani Live. There was Skylar Grey; The Drums; Ladyhawke and DJ supreme Mayer Hawthorne. Yea, it's a flagship and it opened during Fashion Week but it still raises the questions of what will be happening to the aural senses of Chicagoans on October 5 when Oak Street opens. In 2012, the band is opening 12 stores in North America, a very aggressive plan for any luxury brand, so we hope they go 'all out balls out' in every city.
