If you want to see some of the best dressed (and most interestingly dressed) folks, go to an art opening. Go to a big, important art opening like last night's MCA Vernissage night, the private EXPO Chicago opening night, where Rick Owens and Rodarte were the order of the day. We couldn't believe that amongst the likes of genius artists such as Iona Rozeal Brown, Mickalene Thomas and Kenrick MacFarlane, we saw art walking around...on people! With Sara Albrecht and Marilyn Fields in spring Rodarte, and others donning Commes des Garcons, Fendi, Christian Louboutin, Vionnet, Cushnie et Ochs and Prada, it was like NYFW's second iteration. We thought the best art was on the walls, but we were sorely mistaken.

Art loving folk often have incredible style--style that's not only apparent in their dress or suit, but in their accessories as well. Not only did we see some amazing outfits, but we peeped (no pun intended) fab eyewear, the latest Celine and Givenchy handbags, the highest of stilettos, and chicest timepieces-- Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Patek Philipe and Rolex came out to support the new EXPO Chicago. All in all, a successful and undeniably the most fashionable night in Chicago this year.
