The 56-year-old Harlem and Irving Plaza (AKA The Hip) broke ground on its first-ever lateral expansion. The addition to The Hip will add 4 1/2 square acres to the property, which translates to about four football fields. The new tenants will include XSport Fitness Sports Authority and Panera Bread among others. Currently the mall houses a big Target, Kohl's, Best Buy, Carson's, Forever 21, Victoria's Secret among others. [Crain's]
