Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
You may have heard the news that Chicago's favorite e-drop off and pick up service, Luxury Garage Sale is opening a brick and mortar storefront where you can actually buy stuff. On Wells in Old Town across the street from Greer, the construction is well underway (you can see through the paper in the windows) and they just put up the signage on the facade of the store. We're unsure of the store's layout yet, but in high hopes for a stellar shoe section nearly taking up the entire back of the store, we've pulled a few fall boots that wet our appetite.
On all ends of the spectrum, we've got a furry pair from Coach for $49; a deep patent leather wine pair fromViktor and Rolf for $250, originally $845 and a black and nude tulle pair of Maison Martin Margielas for $850, originally $1700.
