Winter time is nearly here and after fall boot weather, there's jacket weather--what a perfect time for Burlington Coat Factory to open. Remember when we brought to your attention that the national off price retailer announced they were opening a Midwest Flagship right here on State Street? After a long, hot summer of sweating it out, it's finally happening on the cool, crisp morning of October 5.
The 60,096 square-foot store will offer brand name merchandise for all age groups and the home at up to 65% off department store prices. This location will be the retailer's fifth in Chicago and obviously the highest profile. To celebrate the opening, an official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony (hopefully with a really big ribbon) that Illinois' Secretary of State Jesse White and Alderman Brendan Reilly will cut.
