Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Do you live for one-of-a-kind pieces that nobody else can find? Do you support independent and very under the radar designers? If you haven't been to the Scotland Re:Designed pop-up showroom in the Inland Steel Building yet, to peruse the latest from the independents from across the pond, today is your last chance from 10-5. The showroom at Monroe and Dearborn houses five designers taking commissions and selling wholesale to boutiques like Sir & Madame. Shop knitwear by Eribe (comfy wool sweaters), Harris Tweet & Vintage lace womens wear by Judy R. Clark (killing it in the commissions business), avant-garde pieces by Oscure Couture (stopped by to visit Ikram's store), interior design pieces by Iona Crawford (soon sold at Macy's), and eco-chic accessories by Red Brick (who we love).
