Today, via the Racked tipline, we learn that the old (dated) facade of the Famous Rush Street Starbucks will be forever gone. Madewell, who we've known about for quite some time, and had plastered ad campaign images in the windows shortly after Starbucks moved, will be building their own facade.
It's likely that the new look of this facade on Rush just south of Barneys and across the street from Oliver Peoples will be a classic jewel box storefront with dark casing and grilles. This would allow for lighter clothing and sequins to really be shown off from the street and passers by on the sidewalk. From the inside, this treatment would allow a brighter and airer atmosphere than Starbucks.
