To give its PR a much-needed shot in the arm, craft collective Etsy has launched a "Craft Entrepreneurship Program" in New York and in Rockford, Illinois. Through the program, residents and students in struggling towns can learn how to turn their crafting skills into, well, marketable skills. The whole idea was inspired by a tweet from Rockford's mayor Chad Dickerson, who asked for assistance in building an "Etsy Community." [Racked National.]
