Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time to unveil the winners of the 2013 Racked Awards for the city of Chicago! Our champions across seven categories represent the best of local shopping and fashion.
Before we list the names, though, let's go over the rules. For three of the categories, we asked readers to choose between a pre-determined list of nominees. For the rest, we made the decision ourselves after much deliberation. Nominees and winners alike will be feted at a party tonight in Manhattan. Those winners that couldn't make it should watch their mail for their coveted prize, a mannequin head bearing the official golden turban of the Racked Awards. And now, without further ado, the winners in Chicago. Congratulations to all!
