Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
We kind of love Tziporah Salamon's bio. Check out her website, where the beyond-fab personality is described as a "stylist, performance artist, model, and legendary style icon." (Why play it down?)
This New York woman has modeled for Lanvin, styled The Carrie Diaries, and been snapped by Bill Cunningham. She has a famous collection of vintage designer duds; she was born in Israel to parents who escaped the Holocaust; she studied psychology; and then there's this. So, yeah. Tziporah is a woman we'd like to meet.
Which is why we're headed to Dose Market tomorrow at 1 p.m., to catch Salamon's signature style seminar. For $40—not bad, considering the regular $150 ticket price— the one-hour master class will deliver a potent punch of juicy style secrets. Why are we telling you this? Because, lucky Chicagoans, tickets are still available.
