Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Mallory Ulaszek, founder of Cityblue Apparel & Denim and CB—which, tear, both recently closed—has a new store in the works. Called Roam, the shop is set to debut in old Town on November 1. The store will stock designer goods for men and women, and Ulaszek is focusing on brands that aren't widely represented in the area.

There will be some brands that Ulaszek carried at her previous stores, including 10 Crosby by Derek Lam, See by Chloe, MM6, and Halston Heritage. Newbies for Ulaszek will include Daniel Vosovic, Anine Bing and Illesteva; there will also be local brands such as C/FAN and Jules. For men, there will be goods from Life/After/Denim, Original Penguin, Hudson, and more. To boot: the store plans to expand into footwear next spring.

The 2,000-square-foot space will comprise two levels, and it will be decked with black walls, salvaged furniture, a little taxidermy, and a big-old grand staircase. As for the name? Born in the East Coast, rooted in the Midwest, and with a stint living in Italy, Ulaszek has a traveler's spirit. She loves Rome; she loves to roam. Roam it is.
