Meet Fashion Blogger Carly Cristman This Saturday

We try not to pick favorites (okay, sometimes we do), but we admit to getting a little revved up when we hear "TOPSHOP" and "Nordstrom" in the same sentence. We recently reported that the Michigan Avenue Nordstrom is home to a new, expanded TOPSHOP pop-up, and it will host a celebration of Chicago style this Saturday.

The fashion-centric event is being hosted by local blogger Carly Cristman at the department store from 1-4 p.m. In addition to makeup stations, live music, and a complimentary "TOPSHOP Loves Chicago" T-shirt with purchases of $100 of more, the event will offer a chance to gleam style tips from Cristman herself. We caught up with the stylish blogger just a few days before the event to hear more about what's in store.

Can you tell us a little about the event?
The event is a fall fashion celebration with Nordstrom x TOPSHOP. TOPSHOP now has their own section in Nordstrom, so what better way to promote awareness for the collaboration than by throwing a party!

What are you most looking forward to?
I'm always looking forward to seeing my viewers who come out to these events. They keep up with my life via my blog, and I've become close with all of them! It's like having an extended group of friends through the Internet that I finally get to meet. Also, the free manicures always lure me in.

Do you have any favorite pieces from either store's fall collection?
TOPSHOP and Nordstrom separately are two of my favorite stores, so having all the pieces in one place is amazing. I absolutely love both stores for finding great, basic pieces as well as more on trend pieces for a less expensive price.

What do you think is unique about Chicago style?
Chicago style is unique because we're a city while also being a beach town, a true mix of east meets west coast. You never know what you'll see. —Moira Lawler
