WEST LOOP/RIVER NORTH—Grace and Sixteen have cracked the list of Chicago restaurants to gain AAA Five Diamond status, marking the first new local entrants to the list since 2006. We got ahold of the interesting letter Grace received from motor club and leisure travel organization.

LINCOLN PARK—Details on Lettuce Entertain You's collaboration with renowned California chef Jeff Mahin have surfaced. They're opening two restaurants together, Summer House Santa Monica and Stella Barra Pizzeria, on Halsted south of Armitage within a couple of weeks.

BOYSTOWN—Get ready for a restaurant named Meat to open on North Halsted Street. The spot, next door to Minibar and from the same owners, will focus on skewers in everything from meat to cocktails.

FULTON MARKET—If you've ever dined at world-renowned Next, the restaurant with the changing concept from Grant Achatz and Nick Kokonas, you know how exclusive it is.
