Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Established in Northampton in 1873, Church's English Shoes is now a part of the Prada Group—and of the Gold Coast. Paved in Saint Laurent marble and lined with oakwood shelves, the stately shop opened on Walton Street last week.
Selling men's and women's shoes and English-style accessories (umbrellas, check!) the shop is about 800 square feet and is spruced up with green leather seats and gleaming, crystal-and-wood counters. Take a peek at the cozy interior after the jump.
