eBay has ambitious plans for its future. The company is aiming to tackle two objectives that no retailer has successfully combined: Pinterest-style shopping and local, lightening-fast delivery. To start, staffers will expand the day-of delivery program, dubbed "eBay now," so that it operates in some 25 markets. (The service became available in Chicago yesterday.) The retailer has also launched its "collections"— essentially, Etsy-Pinterest-board mashups—and enlisted tastemakers such as Chris Benz to curate collections. [Racked National]
