Finally! O'Hare Airport Gets a Spa

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

O'Hare's International Terminal 5 is being redeveloped by Westfield, and there's one development in particular that's caught our eye. XPresSpa, now open, marks the first Chicago airport spa (hallelujah!)

Located post-security, the welcome spot offers massages, nail treatments, facials, pedicures, and hot shaves. It also sells bath and body products, and—we kind of love this—rents out yoga mats so stressed-out travelers can practice in the terminal.

Plus, you're in luck if you're looking for a great hostess gift, or want a little taste of home on the road. The products on sale represent local companies such as Abbey Brown Soaps and Sweet Beginnings LLC's beelove products.

UPDATE: A Westfield rep just confirmed that there will be more luxury retail openings at O'Hare over the next few months. On the roster: boutiques for Michael Kors, Ferragamao, and Emporio Armani.
