GREENWICH, CT—Restaurants coming to an affluent NYC suburb don't usually get mentioned on Eater Chicago, but when it's Graham Elliot's newest, it does. Chatter about the two Michelin-starred MasterChef judge expanding to other areas in the country has been happening for a while, but the big reveal finally came on Tuesday.
MILLENNIUM PARK—The sixth annual Chicago Gourmet came and went over the weekend, giving Chicago its biggest and most ballyhooed food and drink festival. This year's event included a mass of celebrity chefs from here and abroad, the mayor cutting a line, and many many drinks.
PILSEN—The latest project from the Longman & Eagle team opened in historic and massive Thalia Hall. It includes a beer-themed restaurant (Dusek's), a basement 70s-era lounge (Punch House) and a beautiful concert hall to open at a later date.
CHICAGO—The October Heatmap is out, a guide to the hottest Chicago restaurants at the moment. Honey Butter Fried Chicken, Dusek's, and Four Belly Asian Street Food made the list.
