As we may have mentioned, Isabel Marant's collection for H&M is set to hit stores on November 14. Our sister site Racked National has posted a list of all the H&M outlets that will stock the collection, and we checked in with the two currently noted Chicago outposts—the stores at 22 North State Street and 840 North Michigan Avenue—to see if we could put together a plan of action.
"I think we'll have everything in the collection," said a rep at the State Street store. "But there will be a line." Typically open at 9 a.m., the downtown shop will swing its doors open at 8 a.m. next Thursday. Shoppers will get wristbands that entitle them to 15-to-20-minute time frames to shop in. (And yes, you can leave and come back.) During your 15 minutes of Marant, you can scoop up as many styles as you can get your mitts on. And when your time is up, you'll be allowed to try on the items. "It will be fun!" said the staffer.
The Mag Mile store will not open early on Thursday, but will start welcoming Marant-a-holics at 10 a.m. Same deal here: shoppers will get wristbands that allow them to shop for about 15 minutes at a time, then try on the items. So, will there be lines? "Yeaaaaaaaaah, you may see some of that," said the store rep. "But the sooner you get here, the better your chance of getting what you want."
Both reps reminded us that we can also shop the collection online. And, we've gotta say: both were extremely helpful and sounded psyched to talk about the collection. We're taking that a good sign.
