A reliable tipster has let us in on some potential changes at the 900 Shops. According to our shopping-savvy source, the shopping center's J. Crew store is moving across the hall to take over the current Williams-Sonoma space. With the vacancy, Gucci may move back upstairs to the second-floor space it occupied about 15 years ago. The new Gucci store would be 14,000 square feet, which is larger than its current outpost.
We contacted a press rep for the 900 Shops, who confirmed the J. Crew move. There is no official opening date yet. The rep said that the Gucci move is unconfirmed, and there are no plans for the store to reclaim its second-floor space as of yet.
