Welcome to our seasonal series Gift of the Day, which showcases curated items you can—and should—buy right now in Chicago.

Local bag brand Laudi Vidni has just released the Everpurse Wristlet, and it has a secret superpower: This wee bag can charge your cell phone. Just store it on a charging mat overnight, and the purse uses inductive charging to send energy from the mat to the bag, wirelessly. In the morning, tuck your phone into a special pocket within the bag, and it stays fully juiced while you're out and about. (You can see a nifty video of the whole thing here.)

In Laudi Vidni tradition, you can design your own wristlet by picking the leather, lining, and hardware. And if you upgrade your phone at any point, you can send it back to Laudi Vidni and (for a fee), they'll exchange the technology in the bag. Pretty handy, right? Prices start at $245.
