Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Local soap-maker Abbey Brown has some snazzy new stocking stuffers this season. Available at the Chicago French Market, the sudsy goods now come in Chocolate-Mint ($8.50). There are also three new "Neighborhood" soaps ($5 a pop), which are named after West Town, the Gold Coast, and the West Loop.

Brown tells us that the neighborhood soaps vary from bar to bar, and come in four different scents: Citrus, Cinnamon, Cedar-Mint, and Lemongrass. Delicious-sounding ingredients include locally grown herbs and botanicals, pure essential oils, olive oil, jojoba, and coconut.
