RIVER NORTH—One week after opening, Eataly had to close for a day after they ran low on product. 120,000 people visited in the first week—Chicagoans sure can eat.

O'HARE/MIDWAY—Getting ready to fly this holiday season? Eater has you covered with our refreshed airport dining guides for O'Hare and Midway. O'Hare has many standout options, especially in Terminal 5, which continues to add noteworthy restaurants.

RIVER NORTH—We hope you didn't get too attached to Fulton's on the River because Spiaggia's Tony Mantuano is moving in. He's planning his first non-Italian restaurant for the picturesque location; Fulton's last dinner is January 11.

GOLD COAST—Yes, Paul Kahan's Nico Osteria is open. But have you seen the photos? Photographer Marc Much captured every nook and cranny of the space.
