Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
If you still need to fit in some gift shopping, the stress may be driving you to drink. (Or is that just us projecting?) You can kill two birds with one stone at Lush Wine & Spirits' Holiday Market on Sunday. From 2 to 5 p.m., the West Town wine shop will become a cozy marketplace with local vendors slinging sweets, meats, cheeses, and spirits. There will be plenty of snacks on offer (so come ready to nibble), and staffers will also be doling out samples of holiday wines.
Some specific goods you can expect: apple whiskey from Lagniappe Wine and Spirits, dark-chocolate toffee from Sweet Margy Confections, and artisan olives from Fortune Gourmet. And just F.Y.I.: Lush also stocks wine books, specialty mustards, and more gift-worthy goods. (Double F.Y.I.: Since you'll be there on Sunday, know that one of the city's best brunch spots, Flo, is just down the street. And it sells some uber-awesome hot sauce.)
