Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The Lincoln Park tabletop store Tabula Tua is giving major discount. Starting today, the posh spot is hosting a sale that offers 50 percent off everything in store. That includes fine china, handcrafted dinnerware, gifts, and serving pieces; items come from artists such as Anna Weatherly and Serge Lesage. The sale ends on New Year's Eve.
So why the burst of generosity? Lingering Christmas spirit may have something to do with it, but the store's also clearing out space for a major renovation that will take place next year.
