Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
If you ask us, nothing says "holiday dress" like a jaunty bow and a hint of sparkle. So we're rather smitten with the swishy new dresses and skirts from Roslyn x Suite.
The line is a collaboration between Roslyn Clayton—owner of Roslyn boutique in Bucktown—and Suite designer Jennifer Diederich. Conceptualized in Chicago and made in Diederich's Italian studio, the pieces comprise silk-and-wool fabrics and limited-edition metallic brocades. Skirts are around $195 a pop, while dresses typically range from $425 to $475.
Got a party planned? Here's how to oder your dress: Clayton is available at her store Wednesday through Sunday for custom orders, which typically take about two weeks to deliver (they can also be rushed for an extra fee.) Or, if you stop by the Purely pop-up next Friday, both Diederich and Clayton will be in the store from 2 to 7 p.m. for a trunk show.
