Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We recently fell hard for a Moncler coat that was—yikes—$1,500. So this news makes us more than a little jolly: The brand of almost-never-on-sale outwear opened a shop at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago just under a week ago. A rep for the shopping center tells us that she's spotted snuggly vests and jackets that are less than one-third of the price at regular stores. Also worth noting: This is Moncler's second outlet store in the country.

Moncler is just one of—count 'em—five new stores that will open in the buzzy outlets by early 2014. Another newbie slated to open this month is Trina Turk, a California-inspired women's brand that currently has only one other outlet store in the country (and that one's all the way out in Cali.) Ermenegildo Zegna, the splashy menswear line, also opened up shop in the outlets recently.

More designer news for 2014: Diane Von Furstenburg has plans to open a store near Moncler early next year. And in the springtime, Burberry will open its first-ever Chicagoland outlet within the mall.
