Ports 1961 To Open a Chicago Store... But it's Not What You Think

Ports 1961--a brand we haven't heard from in a while is on the kick of a redefining international expansion with flagships coming soon to London and Milan. This comes just months after 'less major' markets Los Angeles, Toronto and Vancouver were closed only to will open again on fancier streets, in better locations. The dual-gender brand is driving higher-end collections, expanding accessories and trying to place itself in a more affluent marketplace--except Chicago.

In a new outlet mall near the end of the Blue Line by O'Hare, Ports 1961 is set to open a 3,000 square foot store this coming May or June. Which doesn't sound so high-end to us, but at least the brand gets some representation in the city--until they decide to open on Oak Street.
