Julius LaCour of Chicago-based Maison De LaCour debuted his Fall/Winter 2013 line as part of Elle's Style 360 presented by Conair during New York Fashion Week. This was the first stop in the LUX MGT produced Fashion Show Tour featuring Maison De La Cour.

LaCour, the creative director for MDC, told Racked that his F/W 13 collection was heavily influenced by early 90s grunge; in fact, the collection full of plaid fabrics and metal materials was inspired by the lifestyle of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love.

As for hair and makeup, LaCour worked with makeup guru James Vincent, who has painted the faces of notable celebs including: Barack Obama and Lady Gaga, to achieve an androgynous look for the runway.

MDC's F/W 13 collection is right on trend as 90s dominated many runways this week. LaCour managed to produce a fun collection and maintained the integrity of lux couture. -Victoria A. Olivares
