Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Legendary gallery and showroom for furniture, books, objects, fragrances and wearables, Luminaire has opened its second floor to an unexpected, temporary concept shop, LuminaireX. Featuring good design at affordable prices alongside new and unique products from a rotating roster of partners, this pop-up is activating all five senses through a series of activities and design products in a minimal, yet shoppable environment.

The self-proclaimed "interactive playground" will also intellectually stimulate visitors with its own ever-evolving event program. Building on their roster of multi-platform designers including Patricia Urqiola, Naoto Fukasawa and Amanda Levete, LuminaireX will soon announce events with such design stars ranging from film screenings, conversations, and book signings to tours and receptions.
