'Twas last Saturday, according to a sales associate at Scotch & Soda, that was the last day of beer and basketball for Cans on Damen. Soon, Bucktown will boast another store to attract shoppers to the neighborhood.

Yesterday the action seemed to be in motion as there were workmen assessing the space, still with cans of beer sitting idle on the back bar. On the exterior of the Northeast side of the building, directly across from Lululemon and Bebe there is a Public Notice sign detailing the zoning amendment that will make the building a retail store.
