Wicker Park's newest spot for well-being, Red Square Spa, has nearly been open for a month, serving up vodka in the cafe and putting the finishing touches on the beauty services menu. Since softly opening, the Russian bathhouse has been booked with massage appointments and smoothly riding on some great reviews. Now that all the individual services have been decided upon, the packages and specials are being put together this week, in preparation for next week's grand opening.
Aside from the cafe, where guests can munch marinated mackerel with spiced aioli, or deviled eggs with salmon roe, the spa has a few eccentric beauty treatments that add umph to the resto-spa's roster. Enhancements we didn't expect to see include eyelash tinting for $25, a Glyco-Sea Peel for $95, a 75 minute hot stone pedicure for $65, and a male Brazilian for $95. The eccentric treatment that was expected, however, is a Russian/Turkish Platza for $55. For updates on the grand opening and spa specials to follow, keep informed via their Facebook page.
