Chalk Boutique in Evanston has strived to bring some of the most up-and-coming designers to Chicago public while keeping in mind the wearability of the lines. And tomorrow, an established designer who has just launched her eponymous line will be braving the snow for a meet-and-greet at the shop. Co-founder of J Brand Susie Crippen is introducing the CRIPPEN Spring Summer 2013 collection from 11AM-7PM. Shoppers are invited to explore the pieces inspired by her journey since leaving JBrand.

Shortly after JBrand was bought out by Uniqlo's parent company, Fast Retailing, Susie decided to let the wanderlust bug lead her through Turkey, France, Italy, Brazil, Argentina and India. While enroute to the next level of fulfillment, Susie began thinking about the simple pieces she was wearing and how they could be modernized. The solution was CRIPPEN—an easy-to-wear, impactful brand that defined trends and would become the wearer's favorite pieces.
