Nigo, the founder of A Bathing Ape (BAPE) together with the iconic Japanese retailer, Beams, have launched a capsule collection inspired by vintage Coca-Cola livery and products. The collection is being released under Nigo's new line, Human Made.
The collection features ten pieces, and is inspired by genuine Coca-Cola vendor wear from the early 20th century. Garments include T's, work shirts, shop coats and caps. This collection is now held exclusively at RSVP Gallery on Damen in Bucktown. Popularizing such conceptually bizarre concepts such as shoes on a sushi conveyor belt, it comes as no surprise that Nigo would have a deeper philosophy behind this collaboration. Here's Nigo discussing his inspiration for the new collection and including his own extensive Coke memorabilia collection.
