RIVER NORTH - Blow dry salon Blowtique, owned and operated by straight-up Irish folk has some snazzy swag for customers this weekend. First, Baked By Melissa, the infamous "tiny cupcake" company out of New York is sending some bite-size treats to go with Irish Coffee the trained staff is mixing. Second, the only thing that can make a blow out any more Irish is green hair chalk, which is complimentary. And before customers leave, there's a wheel of fortune to spin for chances to win discounts and swag. [Racked Inbox]

GOLD COAST - This Saturday and Sunday Sprinkles Cupcakes on Walton will release the much anticipated Green Velvet Cupcake for $3.50. This special edition light chocolate cake is nearly identical to the most popular flavor; Red Velvet. LAKEVIEW - A word from the wise: If you're planning on making the trip to Strange Cargo for Saint Patrick's Day t-shirts or accouterments you should note that this is a huge holiday for the store-- one of the busiest of the year. For over twenty years, the store, which as you may know is in the heart of the Wrigleyville bar scene, has had lines out the door and will sell nearly 10,000 t-shirts this year. To avoid the craziness and the lines, start early; on Friday hours are from 10Am-8PM and Saturday from 9AM until whenever. [Racked Inbox]
